Text Box: Next, we will pick the small sections that we created when we cut the raised part of the body. We will use the small end of the Crab Stikä for this. Again, hold the piece to be picked with one hand and the Crab Stikä just like we did above. First, there will be a layer of meat on top. Simply scrape that off and you will see the chambers. Insert the Crab StikÔ as shown in (N), twist & pull to extract the meat. For crabs that are about to moat (the meat is really packed in there!), you might need to repeat this to clear all of the meat from the chamber.
 

Text Box: Start by holding the large body section with one hand and your Crab Stikä with the other between your fingers as shown in (J). This will allow you to twist & pull your Crab Stikä easily. After using the Crab Stikä a while, you will find your own way to best hold it.

Text Box: Now, for the large body section, you want to use the large end of the Crab Stikä . I find that for the large body section, it is easier to simply scoop the meat out. Insert the Crab Stikä into one of the chambers and pry upward (K). You will feel a small piece of shell over the top of the middle sections. The ends of each side don’t have this shell, so just scoop it out. Simply pry upward until the Crab Stikä breaks this shell. Now you can scoop all of beautiful lump meat out easily. When you finish the large body section, the shell should look like the photo (L) below left and your reward in the photo (M).
